This artistic experience coincided with the first showing in Canada of SongZhuang, a major contemporary artworks exhibition from Beijing. There were many illustrious attendees including Professor CHOW Su-Sing, Johnson, who attended and celebrated this special opening. Mark MiLan wishes to acknowledge the Coast Salish People who’s traditional territories makes all of these events possible, and he wishes to thank them for allowing him to celebrate Metis culture on behalf of his family whom are Metis from the East of Canada. The Miss Universe Organization officially allows transgender women to compete in their pageants. This comes on the heels of a controversy that began when transgender contestant Jenna Talackova was disqualified as Miss Universe Canada because she wasn’t originally born a woman.
